Charcoal Soap

What it is

Our charcoal skincare line features activated charcoal soap and deep skin cleansers made from charcoal that has been “activated” (i.e. processed to increase porosity), giving it strong absorption capabilities. These formulations are designed to cleanse deeply while being gentle and supportive of healthy skin.

Skin Benefits & Uses
-
Deep cleansing / detoxification: Activated charcoal has a porous surface that traps dirt, oil, pollutants, and impurities from the surface of the skin, helping to unclog pores.
- Controlling acne and oily skin: By absorbing excess sebum (oil) and decreasing pore congestion, charcoal soap may help reduce the frequency of breakouts.
- Brightening and refining skin texture: Gentle exfoliation effect helps remove dead skin cells. Over time, skin may appear more even-toned and radiant.
- Soothing and reduction of inflammation: The properties of charcoal help in calming skin, especially when exposed to environmental irritants.

How to Use It
-
Wet your skin with warm water.
- Lather the soap between your hands and gently massage in circular motions, focusing on areas prone to oiliness or impurities (forehead, nose, chin, etc.).
- Leave the lather for about 30-60 seconds to allow the charcoal to bind impurities, then rinse thoroughly.
- For best results, use once or twice daily, depending on skin type. Sensitive skin might initially respond better with alternate-day usage.
- Follow with a light moisturizer to prevent drying, since charcoal can sometimes pull moisture along with impurities.

Safety & Things to Note
-
Avoid over-use on sensitive skin; if irritation or dryness occurs, reduce frequency.
- If using other skincare treatments (acids, retinols, etc.), patch test and consider alternating.
- For people with certain skin conditions, consult a dermatologist before regular use.
